What happens during the process
1. Identity and health information
Bring a passport or accepted ID and give an accurate history of symptoms, diagnoses, medicines, allergies and previous reactions. Hiding sedatives, alcohol use or mental-health history makes the assessment less safe.
2. Individual assessment
The practitioner decides whether cannabis flower is appropriate. A request for a particular strain or THC number does not replace diagnosis, contraindication review or a treatment goal.
3. Product and amount
The form contains fields for daily grams, number of days and total quantity. Check that the supplied amount and label match the document. Do not interpret the total as permission to exceed the daily instruction.
4. Signatures and retention
The form includes both patient and prescriber signatures. Its notation says the entrepreneur must retain the medical prescription for one year from issuance. Keep your own documentation as instructed.
The 30-day limit
The official form states that a prescription shall not exceed 30 days per issuance. This is a maximum period, not an automatic entitlement to 30 days or a fixed quantity. The professional may prescribe less based on the condition and response.

Treating PT.33 as a lifetime certificate
It has a defined issue date and treatment duration. Old paperwork does not automatically cover a new episode, quantity or product.
Buying first and asking for paperwork later
